Two or three years ago I was sitting in the dentist’s waiting area waiting for my appointment when I heard a voice – very clear and distinct “What are you doing here?” I didn’t answer, but thought of Elijah.  He was in the wrong place, not trusting in God.

You know, I haven’t been to see the doctor for many years now. The pain in my knee, the pain in my hip all healed by my heavenly Doctor. Jesus is His Name. We see Jesus as our doctor, why don’t we see Him as our dentist too? Needless to say, I haven’t been to the dentist since.

In July of last year (2013) I noticed a roughness, sharpness to one of my upper molars. Exploring it, there was quite a hole. Perhaps a filling had come out, or I had broken the tooth on something hard. I had no pain, so it was easy to say I’ll just trust in Jesus. However in February this year (2014) I occasionally began to feel some sensation – not exactly pain. But a little discomfort. Trusting Jesus and not giving way to the devil’s wiles the sensation has gone.  Praise the Lord!  So I am not going to the dentist, I have a better Dentist.

I’ve heard of people having gold fillings from God. I’m not sure if I want gold or just plain enamel etc. I’m leaving that to God. A completely new tooth would be lovely, this old one must be about 70 years old!  Anyway, here’s to believing in my lovely Dentist who makes all things well.

Watch this space!
