Message From The Pastors

Scripture: He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity. Prov 21:23

What are you confessing today? As believers, we need to be saying what we believe. Hebrews 4:14 tells us to hold firmly to the faith we profess. The words we speak daily will shape us. They affect us more than we realise. We must keep our speech in line with God’s word and ensure we don’t have a double confession. In other words, we can’t declare we are healed by Jesus’ stripes and then keep moaning about how ill we feel! It won’t work. The second confession will nullify the first. Don’t think it will be easy either! You will have a fight on your hands. 1 Tim 12:6 tells us “Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” You will have to fight your senses, your thoughts and probably your friends too! And it will have to be your own fight. No one else can do it for you. To get to a place where you’re able to do this you will have to read, meditate and study the word so that it abides in you. Then when you’re squeezed, it will be the word that comes out of your mouth! God told Joshua to keep the word ever before him, not to let it depart from his eyes. Why? Because it is the word that will make our way prosperous. (Josh 1:8) So hide the word in your heart. His word has power and authority to change things and God’s promises belong to us. Let us do as Paul urges us in 2 Cor 4:13 : “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak.”

Daily Encouragement

Base your faith and praying on what the Word says, not on what you see is possible in this realm. According to the Bible, all things are possible with God and all things are possible to the believer.
The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. Ps 34:10
